Abdullah and Zamir White were both not practicing. With Josh Jacobs in Green Bay, Abdullah and Alexander Mattison figure to compete with each other for the No. 2 role in the Raiders backfield behind White.

Fantasy Impact

Abdullah spent the past two seasons with the Raiders as a primary returner in special teams. He should remain in a backup role as well in the Raiders backfield.

Ameer Abdullah rushed for 11 yards on two carries during the Raiders' 20-14 win over the Chiefs in Week 16. He also caught his lone target for an additional gain of one yard through the air.

Fantasy Impact

Abdullah had a chance to earn increased touches with Josh Jacobs (quad, illness) sidelined, but he was ultimately overshadowed by Zamir White. The veteran remains off the fantasy radar.

Ameer Abdullah rushed for 32 yards on six carries during the Raiders' 63-21 win over the Chargers in Week 15. He also caught both of his targets for an additional 13 yards through the air.

Fantasy Impact

Abdullah had an increased role with Josh Jacobs (quadriceps) sidelined for the first time this season. The veteran primarily occupied a third-down role while Zamir White played early downs. Both backs looked solid on an emergency basis but will be bumped off the fantasy radar as soon as Jacobs returns, perhaps as early as Week 16 versus the Chiefs.

In his first season with the Raiders, Abdullah was used as both a kick returner and a running back. Abdullah recorded an average of 20.9 yards per return and caught 25 passes for 211 yards and a score. Abdullah also played on 50% of the team's special teams snaps. His return adds depth and special teams ability.
